Strategic Finance Lead

Moderne is growing, and we're looking to build out our Strategic Finance function with a strategic, data-driven team member. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, this person will play a key role in shaping our financial planning process, informing go-to-market strategy, and driving strategic insights as we scale. This is an opportunity to join early and help shape the future of finance at Moderne.

• Maintain company’s financial model and develop analyses to guide the company's growth trajectory
• Evaluate areas of growth and investment by assessing total addressable market, sales and marketing funnels, customer segments and product unit economics
• Partner with GTM leaders to analyze business performance and drive insights on resource allocation, ROI, and growth opportunities
• Optimize cloud costs and operating expenses through in-depth data analysis and setting up monitoring frameworks for recurring expenses  
• Build SaaS KPIs and financial metrics dashboard to update the Executive team and improve internal communication and transparency
• Prepare data-backed presentations for the Board of Directors and potential investors

• 7-10 years in strategic finance and/or FP&A at a high growth startup, investment banking, or venture capital / private equity  
• Deep understanding of B2B SaaS business models
• Strong financial modeling skills and ability to create high operating leverage using AI 
• Python and SQL proficiency is a plus
• Self-starter with a high level of curiosity and a problem solving mindset
• Ability to partner cross-functionally and create a data driven coherent action plan
