Description

As a Customer Success Solutions Engineer, you will guide enterprises through technical evaluations, onboarding, and best-practice adoption. You’ll partner closely with engineering and product teams to modernize complex Java/C# applications, drive successful implementations, and ensure long-term customer ROI with Moderne’s platform.

Responsibilities

  • Technical Pre-sales: Lead product demos and technical pre-sales discussions. Lead the Evaluation/Proof-of-Concept phase to deliver a strong experience and ROI demonstration for the prospective customer.
  • Onboarding & Implementation: Guide customers through onboarding and product setup, ensuring a smooth and successful activation.
  • Training & Enablement: Conduct technical training sessions and best practices workshops for customers, empowering them to effectively use and manage our platform.
  • Product Expertise & Best Practices: Become a subject matter expert on  Moderne, providing guidance on best practices, advanced features, and strategies to help customers maximize their ROI.
  • Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Create and maintain technical documentation, FAQs, and knowledge base articles to empower customers with self-service resources. Share insights and best practices with the broader team.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with key technical stakeholders and decision-makers within customer organizations. 
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with Sales, Product, and Engineering teams to ensure a cohesive and positive customer experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in a customer-facing technical role such as Customer Success Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Technical Account Manager, or Solutions Architect.
  • Experience with modernizing legacy Java/C# applications
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to quickly learn complex software products and technologies.
  • Proficiency and curiosity for understanding and troubleshooting common build issues
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple engagements simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • A strong customer-centric mindset with a passion for helping others succeed.

Bonus Points If You Have:

  • Experience with Platform Engineering
  • Experience with OpenRewrite
  • Deep experience with Gradle and/or Maven
  • Experience working in a SaaS startup environment.
